Why Beecoz? People's lives today are busier and more hectic than ever.  As a result more and more people are finding it difficult to stay on top of what is happening in their neighborhood and community, let alone maintain and build personal relationships with their neighbors. 

Our mission is to help make the place you call home a safer, friendlier, more enjoyable place to live. People use Beecoz to learn about what's happening in their community from friends, neighbors, f local bloggers, politicians, citizen advocacy groups, city and county governments, non-profit organizations and other stakeholders in their community.

Submit Local Content: Beecoz makes it easy for stakeholders in any community to distribute and syndicate local information to the people living in the communities they serve.  If you are a local blogger, advocacy group, political organization, city or county government, or other community stakeholder and publish local information about issues and events on a website or blog that is RSS-enabled, click on the Submit a Blog link that appears on the right side of every Newsfeed page, add the url of your syndicated content feed to Beecoz, tag it with the relevant geographic area and we will start distributing the feed in that areas Beecoz Community Newsfeed.  Click here to learn more about RSS (Really Simple Syndication).

Add Local News Stories:  Stories published on other sites, like newspaper websites or blogs, that are interesting and relate to your neighborhood or community can be added to your Community Newsfeed by clicking on the Add a Story link that appears in the upper right hand side of every Newsfeed page.

Use the Beecoz People Directory to safely & securely connect with neighbors & friends.  By clicking on the Post a Messgae link you can share information privately with any neigbhors & friends who you add to your Beecoz People Directory.  Share neighborhood news, information about local events, referrals and recommendations for local businesses, service contractors or restaurants, or any other information about what's happening around you.  Beecoz is easier then trying to collect and manage a list of your neighbors email addresses but as simple as writing and sending an email.
